Cautious bears hold six from practice

The Chicago Bears are taking a cautions approach to their injuries this season and with at least six players out, healing is top of the list.  Heading up the list being held out of practice were DE Jared Allen, RT Jordan Mills, Cornerback’s  Isaiah Frey and Kyle Fuller as well as guards Brian De la Puente and Eben Britton.

Linebacker Lance Briggs returned to practice Tuesday after being held out on Monday.  Also returning to the lineup Friday night against the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks is CB Chris Conte. Conte underwent shoulder surgery nearly five months

“Chris had a good week of practice,” Bears head coach Marc Trestman said. “He’s running around. He’s involved in terms of what we’re doing. So we’ll see. He’s going to play. It looks certainly that he’s going to play.

Although the game is in Seattle, plenty of great seats and cheap tickets are still available.  Get out and support your Chicago Bears!

Bears drop an almost close game to St. Louis

There was a moment in the 4th quarter of the  game between the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Rams that the score was down to six points after Devin Hester, he of kickoff/punt return fame, showed why he is so dangerous and broke through tackles to get into the end zone on a punt return.  Then the flags fell calling the play back on a holding call by Safety Craig Stelz.

“On the sideline, a few of us were talking,” receiver Brandon Marshall said. “This game is just so tough. National Football League, you never know. It seems like these last few years, it’s going down to the last few games, and it looks like it’s going to be the same this year.

“We had an opportunity to take advantage of what else happened in our division, but we didn’t. That just goes to show you how tough this game is.”

Penalties also killed the Bears as they were flagged 10 times for 84 yards and in the end, the Rams blew out the Bears 42-21.

The Bears still have a shot at the playoffs and look to right the ship against the Minnesota Vikings December 1st.  Great seats and tickets are still available!
