Bears out to prove something after tongue lashing by Coaches

It was 10-0 at halftime and the Chicago Bears, at home against the Buccaneers, were beginning to look lost and point fingers.  Then the coaching staff called out the team during halftime.

“Basically at halftime coach was telling us that basically we just played the worst half of football and we’re only down 10 to nothing,” running back Matt Forte told ESPN.com. “Our defense definitely kept us in the game with that. We can’t come out and lay an egg in the first half and expect to come from behind all the time.

The Bears managed to get their defense on track, holding Tampa Bay to three second half points.

The Bears/Lions rivalry goes as far back as 1930 when the then Spartans beat the Bears 7-6 in Portsmith, Ohio.  The Bears hold the edge in wins in this match up with an 83-62-5 record.
