Bears hoping to improve playoff chances against Niners

After a spectacular upset of the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, your Chicago Bears are hoping to up their odds at making the playoffs with a strong showing against a struggling San Francisco 49er’s team who have yet to win on the road.

The Bears are hoping to spark their running game after rolling the Packers for 168 yards and are looking to split time between Matt Forte and rookie Jeremy Langford.

“I wish we could get more plays in a game, so both those guys could get more touches,” offensive coordinator Adam Gase said. “Both of those guys splitting the load like that, we can keep them fresh and … we should only get better from here on out and those guys will get in the flow of it. You don’t want to have three-and-outs where they’re kind of in and out. You want to try to give them a little rhythm and you need to have an 8-to-12-play drive for that to happen.”

Ray McDonald Released

After two arrests in three days, the Chicago Bears have parted ways with Defensive Tackle Ray McDonald after he violated a restraining order issued earlier this week.  McDonald was released on Monday after he was accused of assault of a woman who was holding a baby.

In other news, team staff are upset that TE Martellus Bennett has been a no show to all team activities thus far.  The Pro-Bowler is missing out on Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase trying to install a new offense.

The Bears kick off the Preseason against the Miami Dolphins on August 13th.  Ticket for all games are already on sale so be sure to get yours today and help support your Chicago Bears.
